Training program for maintenance and servicing of machining centres mechanic equipment

Requirements

The training course is intended for maintenance and service personnel. Training is based on the assumption that the participants have practical knowledge and experience in the field of maintenance and servicing of machine tools.

 
Objectives

The participants will be able to detect and eliminate problems concerning the basic subassemblies of the machine. They will be informed about the crucial points as the maintenance of the machine/plant and will be familiar with the structure and functions of the essential subassemblies. They will be instructed in the individual steps for assembly, disassembly and maintenance.

 
Scope

Training will be held for a period of 4 days. Upon request, the scope of training can be individually adapted.

Basic structure of machine/plant

  • Design and arrangement of main subassemblies
  • Presentation of power flow within the machine
  • Explanation of sequence of motions of tool and work piece

Explanation of special machine structure, in detail

  • Constructional design of machine bed
  • Structure and arrangement or rotary table and tool holders
  • Explanation of recirculating ball screws and arrangement of glass scales
  • Presentation of used rolling guide ways with recirculating roller bearings resp. linear systems for the slide guides
  • Design and function of tool changing equipment
  • Design and function of main spindle with tool holder
  • Constructional design and handling of work piece clamping fixtures/rotary tables
  • Structure and function of main drive and axis drives as well as chain drive of pallet changer
  • Explanation of cassettes as tool holder

This part of training includes practical instructions concerning assembly and disassembly of the mentioned subassemblies as well as explanations for the exchange of seals and bearings within the subassemblies and the exchange of recirculating ball screws and glass scales at the slide units.
