Programming training for machinig centers

Requirements

The training course is intended for programming, setting and operating personnel of machining centres. Basic knowledge of the technology of numerically controlled machines and NC-control system is required. Training is based on the assumption that the participants have practical experience in the operation of machine tools.

Objectives

The participants will be able to work out, to enter and test programs and cycles according to DIN 66025 for NC-machining on their machine. They will be qualified for the commissioning of the machine including control system and will be familiar with work piece specific machining programs.

Scope

Training will be held for a period of 4 days. Upon request, the scope of training can be individually adapted.

Table of content

During the training period the participants will learn to establish a complete NC-machining program for the machine in question, comprising:

  • Introduction of programming key for the individual program
  • Information about program structure
  • Data safeguarding (output and entry of programs)
  • Information about coordinate systems and preparatory functions
  • Zero offsets
  • Dimensioning of work piece and calculations of path
  • Programming of moving components
  • Switching, auxiliary and miscellaneous functions
  • Application, structure and handling of sup programs
  • Programming of parameters
  • Explanation of tool management
  • Programming of tool offset
  • Programming of tool tip radius compensation
  • Practical use of machining cycles

Training will incorporate frequent practical exercises in operating and programming.
